Marvelous!

We had a good turnout last night and welcomed back an artist or two we hadn't seen in a while and missed a few of the "regulars". Artists welcomed a new model, thank you Joe, you were a great model!


The Artist's Trading Cards were handed out to work on and exchange at Figure Drawing's First Birthday! We made it through our first year and after some growing pains, we've settled into a great space, a perfect routine, a following of very talented artists and friends and our magnificent models.


Next week, April 4th, we'll be drawing K.C., clothed, at the library for the Figure Drawing Show. We have to be out of the library by 9, so we'll be starting earlier 6:00 to 8:30. 


Reminder: The deadline for the Figure Drawing Show will be June 1st. Professor Joe DiBella will be the juror for the show. Accepted work must be framed, for hanging in the library atrium in July.

The Luck of the Irish!

Our post St. Patty's Day Drawing Session ... we are lucky, lucky artists! We have such great models to work with and get to create in an atmosphere with the support of our peers around us. It's our weekly art salon, therapy session, music review and all around "good time". 


Thank you, Janet, for your lovely poses, and always being a perfect model!


Thanks also, to the artists, who keep Figure Drawing in Fredericksburg going and getting better, each week!

Life (Drawing) is Good!

What a great night - and it was spent with some of our favorite people, doing what we love. Is there anything better than getting to draw a perfect model while surrounded by a supportive, loyal group of friends?

Figure Drawing Show

Just a reminder: Figure Drawing will be in the Library Auditorium this Wednesday, March 9th from 6:00 - 8:30 ... a little earlier this week to be out of there by the 9:00 closing time.


This a "dry media only" session and is the work you can expand on (or not) to submit for the Figure Drawing Show at the library in July. The submission deadline is June 1st.


On Monday, March 14th, we'll be back at Read All Over Books, where Felix will be posing for us and on Monday, March 21st, we get to welcome Janet back!


Figure Drawing Sessions are open to anyone who loves to draw (18+ for unclothed sessions) and work is not made public without the artist's consent. Please join us for a relaxing evening of drawing, with great models and a wonderful group of artists.
