Painting in the Tower

We got to draw and paint last night. We're all so grateful that we got to spend a few hours working in the Purina Tower. It's such a great, wide-open space with wonderful natural light. It is the perfect place and we had a perfect model. Anna Page gave us a wonderful pose to work on for the evening. 


It was a magnificent night with great music, birthday cake (Happy Belated, Matt!) and cupcakes (Thanks, Nicole) and flowers (Thank you, Anna Page)!

Long Days, Great Light!

Another good night this past Monday. Our thanks to Keith for great poses and for an hour long pose - without a break!


I want to remind everyone that we will be drawing Anna Page at the Purina Tower on Monday. If you will be using wet media, please bring a drop cloth to protect the floors and bring your own chair if you want to sit. We'll be doing one (or two) long poses after the usual short, warm-up poses.


*Anyone who has work hanging in the library atrium will need to pick it up on June 28th.

Magic

Another terrific session! I always think that Life Drawing, as good as it is, is as good as it's going to get ... and then it gets better. It was a wonderful night, with lots of terrific, supportive artists and another great model. We mixed things up a bit this time around by repeating a long pose so we could really develop our drawings. There was some beautiful work done by everyone.


Our thanks to Les, a marvelous model, despite the fact that we managed to freeze him a bit (once again). Thanks so much for working with us.


Janet will be posing on June 11th at Read All Over. We'll continue repeating long poses too.
