Picking Uo Your Work & More Drawing!

Reminder - August 3rd: Anyone who has work in the show at the library, will need to pick it up on August 3rd, between 10:30 am - 4:30 pm. If you can't pick it up on the 3rd, it will be in the office on the third floor (left out of the elevator).

Ed King will be hosting Figure Drawing (or painting!) at Germanna on Saturday, August 6th, from 10:00 - 12:30. Room 123. Easels will be provided and wet media is allowed.

Park in the parking lot all the way over to the left, toward the rear of the building. Enter the building at the back, make a left ... to room 123.

Thank you all for coming last night, it was a great last session before our summer break. Our sincere thanks also, to Janet, who made the most of that chaise with some beautiful poses! 

We'll be taking the month of August off at Read All Over, but Ed King will be hosting a Saturday session on August 6th from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm in Room 123. Linda will be posing, unclothed. Easels will be provided and wet media will be allowed.

I hope to see you all back at Read All Over on Monday, September 5th.

Thanks, to all of you for coming last night. We missed some of our regulars but you were all in our thoughts.  Thanks also, to K.C., for such beautiful, graceful poses and being the first to try out the new chaise!


A few musicians with the band LITTLE TYBEE, dropped in to draw with us. They had a gig at the Otter House last night and then were on their way to Toronto and Montreal to perform. 


Brock Scott was nice enough to leave us with a CD of their great music. We'll listen to it as we draw next week. In the meantime, here's something to listen to while you look at the drawings from last night. Thank you Brock and Sara for joining us ... and for the music!

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did last night!


Artists, friends, family and patrons came out to support the Figure Drawing Group of Fredericksburg. It was a GREAT turnout, and a beautiful night ... just wonderful.

Our sincere thanks, to the library staff, Margaret, Maggie, Janet and volunteers for pulling everything together at the last minute.

Most of all, our thanks to all who came to see the show, share a glass of wine with the artists and purchase our work. It's that kind of support from the community of artists and the Fredericksburg community at large that makes it all so rewarding.

K.C. will be posing for us on Monday, July 18th, at Read All Over Books on the new chaise!

Last night, we got out of the heat to draw Linda in a silk turban. It's interesting how a small addition can dramatically change the mood or add so much interest to a drawing.
