There's no place like Om ...

I know, I know, I start almost every blog post with "what a great night ..." but seriously, it always is a good time. It's hard to explain that Figure Drawing can be both gratifying, maddening, joyful, teeth gnashingly frustrating and still remain a stress-free, individually meditative space - within a group! Everyone is forced to take their time, slow down, observe, capture the subtlest of detail - and all in a half hour pose. Life Drawing is, if nothing else, full of contradictions - but always, always a great experience.

Our thanks to Anna Page, a wonderful model, who inspired us with such beautiful poses.

Fired Up!

Wow, what a great night! Janet, our model for the evening, brought out the best in all of us with her exquisite poses - oh, so great!

So Good to be Back!

Well, I'm going to try not to do that again. We were away from drawing for a month and it took some effort this time around to get back into the groove.

It was a good sized group - perfect actually, with lots of artists toiling away but still room to roam and find the perfect angle on a pose. Thank you all for coming and always contributing - with cookies, great stories, info on art happenings or help cleaning up! You make my job it so easy and enjoyable.

Our thanks also, to Keith for great poses and for always being such a pleasure to draw.

Janet will be modeling for us on Monday, Jan. 21st. Hope to see you there!
