Hot Times!

We welcomed a new artist last night, got to catch up with an artist who's been out of town (for way too long) and had a wonderful time doing what we love.
Our thanks to our model for the evening, Anna Page, for inspiring such great work from everyone with her beautiful poses.

THINGS WE CAN USE: If anyone has a tall stool (without a back) and a fan (to cool the artists, without freezing the model) that you're willing to donate, please contact me. We're also always looking for the perfect (cheap) chaise, if anyone sees or hears of something ... let me know!

I'll be sending out an email soon with date, time, location and details for a wet session in May.

I hope you'll join us next week, Keith will be posing for us on Monday, April 23rd.

Recumbent Nudes

There were some wonderful drawings created this week and we talked about some future events for Figure Drawing. We'll have a wet session coming up, at the perfect place, thanks to some very generous friends and perhaps even an exhibit of our work from the sessions - Nudes!

Our thanks to Janet, our always perfect model and my thanks to all of the Life Drawing regulars who come every week. There is no better exercise that develops your drawing and observational muscles than working from a live model.

Congratulations to Sally Rhone-Kubarek for her wonderful (and very successful)show. You have until the end of April to see her work at Art First - 824 Caroline Street.

Spring!

It was a wonderful session with our "ever reliable" Linda and a nice turnout of artists. The warmer weather and longer days seems to add to a more relaxed atmosphere and it shows in the exquisite work produced last night.

Don't forget, we're coming up on our second show in the library atrium in June ... and the second anniversary of "Uninstructed Figure Drawing in Fredericksburg." Two years, it's hard to believe and we owe it all to our dedicated artists, many of whom have been with us since the first session, and our always perfect models. Thank you all for hanging in there and continuing to support life drawing.
