The Red Scarf

We drew a clothed model last night and got to leave the doors open! It's been a while since we've had a clothed model and I think we all had to readjust a bit. 


We incorporated the red scarf into the work. We may have to work that out ... there's still time.


Aaron was a wonderful model, who took great direction from us. Thank you, Aaron and all who attended last night.

Fabulous Fall!

It's hard to believe that the first day of Fall is just a few days away! The A/C is finally off, the windows are open and I'm looking forward to spending every waking moment in my new studio! but ... I love (and need) the breaks for Figure Drawing. It's so great getting to reconnect with the group each week and meet the new artists who breeze in.


It was so much fun last night. Thank you all for coming, sharing your insight, funny stories and experience and continuing to support Figure Drawing. Thanks also, to Felix, our model for the evening ... always such a pleasure to work with. He inspires such beautiful work.


Next Monday, September 26th, we'll be drawing Aaron at Read All Over Books. This will be a clothed session for the show in the Library Atrium, opening on June 1st. We'll be drawing (at least) one clothed model a month until May!

Perfect!

What a great time! It was a beautiful night and a great turnout last night. We welcomed a few new artists to the session and caught up with some of the "regulars". There was a chance to talk art "happenings" and plans for workshops and shows, while we drew Janet (our always perfect model). There was some beautiful work created with everything that was going on!


Thank you all for coming and our thanks to Janet, our model for the evening.


We'll be drawing Felix next week. I hope to see you all there! Bring your own drawing supplies, easel or support board and arrive by 6:45.

Labor of Love

Now that's how to spend Labor Day. It was so good to see everyone again, catch up on what's been happening in the burg and get back to drawing from life. Thanks to everyone who came and to Linda, a wonderful, wonderful model.
