Our Drawing of Andre!

Thanks to everyone who came to Read All Over to draw last night. What a great group of very talented artists. It's always so much fun! Thanks also, to Andre, a great model, who we managed torture with that last pose.

Please try to make it to the "wet" session this Saturday from 10 a.m. -12 p.m., where K.C. will be posing in ballet attire. Contact Ed King with questions.

We returned to Read All Over Books for drawing last night, after a detour to the library and a cancellation due to the ice storm. It was so nice to draw in the larger room, with more seating and posing choices!
Thank you, to all who came to draw and my apologies to those who showed up the night before too.
Thank you also, to Linda, an always perfect model.

Postponed

The session for tonight has been postponed until tomorrow night. Same place: Read All Over Books. Same time: 7 - 9:30 p.m. Linda will be posing, unclothed. Hope to see you tomorrow night!

A Night at the Library

We drew the lovely K.C., although it was admittedly a bit rushed, we all enjoyed a change of scene. The next time we're at the library, we can be there from 5:00 - 8:45. I'll let you know of any other changes.


On Monday, we're back at Read All Over Books where Linda will be posing for us! Hope to see you there.

At the Library

Tomorrow night is the first session to draw K.C. in her ballet attire!


The schedule for these sessions is posted to the right and there may be more wet sessions added, if there is enough interest from artists.


The drawings from these sessions, will be your opportunity to submit work for the "Figure Drawing Show" in the atrium of the Main Library, in July. Entries are limited to the work from these sessions, only. Professor Joe DiBella will be the juror for the show and the deadline for submission is June 1st in a digital format.


As always, bring your own support board, and/or easel, and drawing materials. There will be some 19x25 Canson Mi-Tientes paper for sale, $1/sheet, if interested. Cost for the session is $15 per artist.


In the meantime, regular Figure Drawing sessions continue, every Monday night, at Read All Over Books! Join us! Come draw great models, to great music, in a relaxed atmosphere, with an amazing group of artists ... 

Drawing After Degas

A reminder that Figure Drawing will be in the Library Auditorium this Wednesday, January 12th, 2011. The session time remains unchanged, 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Arrive around 6:45 to give yourself plenty of time to get set up. K.C. will be posing in toe shoes and a full length tutu with a blue sash. No cameras or cell phone use during the session, please.

If interested, there will be several colors of Canson Mi-Teintes for sale at a discounted price. You will need to bring your own easel or support board and supplies. Dry media only, please. The session is open to all, at $15 per person.

We will be back at Read All Over Books on Monday, January 17th. Linda will pose, unclothed and as always, the session is open to all over 18.

Well, last night was not the relaxed, mellow atmosphere that makes for losing yourself in your work and I apologize for the noise and the environment. Thank you, as always, to everyone who came to draw and to our model, who gave us some beautiful poses.

REMINDER:
Next week, we will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 12th, in the Library auditorium. This is the first drawing session for the Figure Drawing Show that will be at the Library in July. We will be drawing K.C., in toe shoes, white leotard, and a full length white tutu with a blue sash. As with all Figure Drawing sessions, no cameras or cell phone use is allowed. Dry media only, however, there will be other opportunities for wet media. All sessions for the show will use the same model in the same attire.
